Russian stocks to open with increase on positive foreign environ

MOSCOW, Oct 5 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks may grow at opening of the trading session on Monday amid a favorable external background, analysts said.

“Russia’s stock trading may start the day with an increase under the influence by an external background. Despite a negative first reaction of foreign traders to U.S. weak labor data, they still found grounds for some optimism as the probability of the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) rate being increased at a December meeting fell to 32% and at an October meeting to 8%,” Olma senior analyst Anton Startsev said.

U.S. stock indices increased on October 2, as well as the European ones. U.S. stock market futures are trading now around the previous closure levels and Asian floors also show some increase, he said.

The RTS may decrease at the opening anyway as some technical analysis data show, Startsev said.

The MICEX may start the day with a rise to 1,620 points and may even exceed 1,630 points during the day, Oleg Shagov, research department director at Solid brokerage, said.

Shagov also said that the RTS can outperform a growth of the MICEX during the day as the ruble might increase following an oil price upward trend.

Investors will wait for a release of non-industrial PMIs for September in the euro zone and the U.S., as well as the euro zone’s retail sales data for August.
